ARE YOU IN LOVE? YES, I’M IN VERONA

ABOUT KROMYA

KROMYA ART GALLERY was founded in 2018 in Lugano by Tecla Riva, Giorgio Ferrarin and Adriano A. Sala as a result of a long-standing common passion and expertise. In 2020 KROMYA expanded its headquarters with a new outpost in Verona, Italy.

With Are you in Love? Yes, I’m in Verona, KROMYA Art Gallery Verona presents a new exhibition by Pietro Terzini, an artist whose practice operates at the intersection of art, design, and fashion. The exhibition unfolds as a visual reflection on love in the contemporary world — balancing romance, irony, and cultural awareness.

Set in a city globally associated with love, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between collective imagination, pop culture, and contemporary visual language. The underlying question — “Are you in love?” — becomes the starting point for an exploration of emotions, relationships, and identity in the age of social media and accelerated visual communication.

The exhibition features around thirty recent works, many of them previously unseen, including acrylic works on paper and silkscreen prints on canvas. Language plays a central role in Terzini’s practice: words function as both visual material and conceptual structure. Emotional, intimate, or sarcastic phrases merge with references to fashion, design, and digital culture, producing works that move between immediacy and layered meaning.

The exhibition opens with a neon work conceived as a narrative threshold: text and image coexist in a single visual gesture, where writing becomes emotional expression and imagery introduces a symbolic dimension. The piece sets the tone for recurring themes in the artist’s practice, including desire, memory, and the simultaneity of thought.

The project engages directly with the urban and cultural context of Verona, positioning the exhibition as an emotional extension of the city. Love — iconic, impossible, everyday — is reinterpreted as a contemporary experience shaped by representation, perception, and shared narratives.

Pietro Terzini’s work is characterized by its ability to move fluidly across disciplines and platforms, redefining the boundaries of contemporary art in the 21st century. Through a strategic use of digital media and collaborations with leading international brands, the artist creates works that reflect on communication, desire, and the construction of identity.

Are you in Love? Yes, I’m in Verona ultimately presents an exhibition that combines lightness and depth, irony and vulnerability, inviting viewers to engage with a universal question that remains endlessly relevant.
