KROMYA ART GALLERY was founded in 2018 in Lugano by Tecla Riva, Giorgio Ferrarin and Adriano A. Sala as a result of a long-standing common passion and expertise. In 2020 KROMYA expanded its headquarters with a new outpost in Verona, Italy.
KROMYA ART GALLERY aims to provide a space for young and emerging artists to showcase their works in the ".young" section. This section offers a more informal space that allows artists to present themselves and their works dynamically to both young and experienced audiences.
The double solo exhibition is dedicated to the artists Giorgio Griffa and Riccardo Guarneri, leading exponents of an artistic current, Pittura Analitica, to which the Gallery has always reserved great attention. Griffa and Guarneri, though in different ways, have been part of what art history has defined only in recent years as Pittura Analitica, and which has long been referred to as Pittura Pittura, Nuova Pittura or Pura Pittura.
An exhibition project that places sculpture and design in dialogue with the universe of jewelry and goldsmith design. The artist's jewelry, a perfectly accomplished work of art, is presented as a powerful and coherent synthesis of the artist's creative universe, a bold and original reflection in dialogue not only with space but also with the territory "body" thanks to the possibility of "wearing" the work of art.
Thanks to the collaboration with the City of Lugano and the support of Lugano Region, the city's galleries will be on display from May 17 to 21, 2023 in the spaces of Asilo Ciani, a recently restored historic building from the late 19th century.
