Casentini is one of the most representative Italian abstract artists of his generation and Drive-In was part of the exhibition path that the artist began in 2017, involving Italian and foreign museums and institutions such as the Bocconi Art Gallery in Milan, the MOAH, Museum of Art and History in Lancaster, the Reggia di Caserta and the Science and Technology Museum in Kuwait City.

The exhibition focused on the geometry of spaces through the colors and shapes that create ideal environments in which to recognize oneself. Drive-In was a total work of art in which the viewer was involved, thanks to the combination of the geometric landscapes of the canvases and the daily space of the gallery.

In Drive-In the memory of the journey was evoked, explains Marco Casentini, “It is entering my art and following its contours and sensations. The exhibition space becomes the place where the viewer can perceive the emotions that I have shared. At the same time, since all my works refer to places or travel experiences, Drive In is also a metaphorical reflection on the theme of being in another place”.
