ABOUT KROMYA

KROMYA ART GALLERY was founded in 2018 in Lugano by Tecla Riva, Giorgio Ferrarin and Adriano A. Sala as a result of a long-standing common passion and expertise. In 2020 KROMYA expanded its headquarters with a new outpost in Verona, Italy.

KROMYA Art Gallery presents CAMERA 23, Ettore Pinelli: La parte nascosta in Verona, curated by Matteo Galbiati from October 1 to November 19, 2022. The exhibition was awarded by the Cultural Association Arteam of Albissola Marina (SV) to the gallery owners as the KROMYA Art Gallery Verona | Lugano Special Prize within the VI edition of Arteam Cup 2020.

With La parte nascosta, Pinelli continues his careful pictorial investigation in which abstraction and figuration combine in a mutual will of cancellation and evidence. The exhibition presents a completely new cycle of works created specifically for the occasion.

The artist fixes, with the precision of his painting, figures that try to tell themselves bursting through their just pronounced manifestation, to the evidence of sight and thought. The object of special observation is human behavior, in which anthropic sociology and natural instinctuality correspond and correlate.

Pinelli’s color is the result of a slow and progressive work, “composed with measured and punctual gestures, following the will to fix the lightness of colors by subtracting any gestural emphasis dictated or imposed by the character of the hand.” The exhibition was a great success and represented a unique opportunity to appreciate quality contemporary art.
